RE/MAX Malta registers impressive 11 per cent increase in turnover

“Amidst a global financial crisis RE/MAX Malta registered an impressive 11 per cent increase in turnover and assisted in signing well over 20% more promises of sales during 2009 compared to 2008.  Also during 2009, the company, which is managed as a franchise concept and has eight offices in Malta, increased the number of sales associates to over 80 personnel.” This was announced by Kevin Buttigieg, Managing Director of RE/MAX Malta during the company’s annual general meeting held at the Westin Dragonara Hotel. 

 In his address Mr Buttigieg gave an overview of the three year business plan and announced that later this year the administration and management shall be moving to a new corporate offices and over a three year period the company will be opening eight new offices.  Mr Buttigieg added that “During 2009 our network continued to mature and our continuous training and mentoring of our associates together with our commitment to professionalism in the real estate sector has reaped rewards forRE/MAX in otherwise difficult times.” In a video broadcast RE/MAX Europe Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director, Charles H Lemire congratulated all RE/MAX Malta’s employees and associates for their hard work and drive that has resulted in an increase in turnover. The video broadcast was followed by a presentation by Jeff Buttigieg, Regional Director of RE/MAX Malta, who outlined the IT and Marketing strategies for 2010.“

 Joseph P Theuma, the General Manager of the Group gave a detailed report on the sales figures of 2009, highlighting that the company sold 36% more units than the year before. He pointed out that the company consolidated its presence in the North, Central, South and Gozitan markets by registering performance increases of 39.9%, 19.3%, 63.9% and 65% respectively. This shows that RE/MAX is a nation-wide real estate company which is strongly represented in all areas and is in a position to provide tailor-made services for clients with different needs and requirements.

The meeting came to an end with the annual awards ceremony to the top performing associates and office. These included  top selling office, RE/MAX Professionals, 241 Tower Road, Sliema, under the guidance of Kevin Deguara, top listing associate for letting, Michaela Tabone, top listing associate for sales , Ray Sammut, top sales associate – number of promise of sale signed, Roderick Cucciardi, top letting associate, Jason Cornthwaite and top sales associate, Peter Sullivan.
